Biography
Broadway producing credits: Hairspray (Broadway and West End productions), Come Fly Away, Radio Golf, The Wedding Singer, Caroline or Change, Elaine Stritch at Liberty, The Crucible, Triumph of Love, Seven Guitars, Angels in America: Millennium Approaches and Perestroika, Jelly's Last Jam, and I Hate Hamlet. Off-Broadway: Indoor/Outdoor, Mnemonic, The Cryptogram, Frankie and Johnny…, The Garden of Earthly Delights, How I Got That Story, George C. Wolfe's Harlem Song at the Apollo Theater. Television: Dinner With Friends (HBO).
Margo Lion is an adjunct professor and a member of the Dean's Council at the NYU-Tisch School of the Arts. She serves on the Board of Directors of BC/EFA, the Advisory Board of The Baltimore Leadership School for Young Women, the Advisory Committee for the Public Diplomacy Collaborative at Harvard, and as advisor to both the Alliance for Inclusion in the Arts and PUBLICOLOR. Her productions have garnered 20 Tony Awards (including Best Musical 2003), 4 Olivier Awards (including Best Musical 2008), and 1 Pulitzer Prize. She serves as Co-Chair of the President’s Committee on the Arts and Humanities for President Barack Obama.
