Biography

Rob is a Cycle Five graduate of the Program. He also completed the Lehman Engel BMI Musical Theatre Workshop in Los Angeles, and the ASCAP workshop in New York. MACABARETA ‘macabre cabaret' co- written with Cycle Five alum Scott Keys, has received ten productions in New York, Chicago, Los Angeles, Minneapolis and Sarsota. Their thesis musical, HEREAFTER, was produced by the Porchlight Theatre Ensemble in Chicago and subsequently seen at the Illusion Theatre in Minneapolis as part of their ‘Fresh Ink' series. Their most recent collaboration, THE VANISHING POINT, ran in Chicago from June to August 1998. Rob is currently the Research Associate for an upcoming Ten hour PBS documentary on the history of the Broadway musical, as well as the author of study guides for Broadway productions including TITANIC, 1776 and FOOTLOSE.
