The Graduate Musical Theatre Writing Program annually hosts a variety of events for the incoming class to orient them in the "goings on" of the program. This involves a tour of campus, introductions by the Chair of the Department and Faculty, a pizza party where the incoming class can meet the second year students and a cabaret which is hosted and performed by members of the second year class.
